Minnesota Kelly posted in the group Kelly’s ”Time Machine” Shop
Greetings everyone! I promise that this will be longest post of mine that you’ll ever have to wade through.
Some of you may already know me but for those who don’t, my name is Kelly and I will be your host for this vintage sled page. I’m old enough to have ridden vintage sleds when they weren’t vintage but my interest in vintage sleds was really rekindled 15 or so years ago and I’ve been restoring/rebuilding vintage sleds ever since.
When Gary asked me about hosting this page, my first task was coming up with a name. “Time Machine” Shop seemed to capture the page intent perfectly.I think these old sleds are time machines in the sense that seeing, riding, talking about, or even just thinking about them can take a person back to an earlier time in snowmobiling history. For some, it was the beginning of a life-long love for sleds and sledding. For others, it may just be a trip back to an interesting and unique time in history.
While this page offers a new venue to share any vintage sled activities/projects I might have going, here’s the important part: a shop is also a place where a lot of great sledding conversations occur and I’m inviting people to join me and other members in the “Shop” and start or add to a conversation.
I also know there are people out there working on vintage sled projects and I hope you will share some things about your project here with an occasional photo and a few sentences. Everybody loves these projects.
So, welcome to the Shop and let the “Shop Talk” begin.
