This past winter took a bag trip which part of the route was the cisco chain, I have never seen that area and was surprised that some of the places I saw that I thought were lodges were actually private homes, some had log pillars bigger than I have ever seen. Yes, I had found it and it has been an invaluable source of information, especially the manuals. But, in general, it’s a very cool site with a lot of historical info. Thanks for suggesting it though, as I think others will find it interesting as well!

My first snowmobile was a 1973 Suzuki XR440. fan cooled twin carb, motor was close to the handlebars & that fan blew the warm but albeit 2 stroke smell on you. Looks like we’ll have the website on AutoPilot at times this week as I’ll be working/volunteering at the AirVenture Fly In, in Oshkosh, Wisconsin over the next few days. We live about 15 miles north of the show so it’s hard to escape from the planes overhead, traffic, and visitors from around the world.

I was on the grounds of the AirVenture Fly In from Oshkosh today. The smoke was so bad over Wisconsin, all traffic was on IFR. No visibility to fly.

It’s worse today. Here is a shot from this morning at the boat launch in Lake Linden. You cannot even see across the short distance to the opposite shoreline, forget about visibility when you get out to the open water, crazy!

Wow, that is some thick smoke! Don’t breath! But seriously, be careful. Jon, I don’t know about the Circle Flies. We have our share of fly varieties but I don’t think we have those.

Circle Flies? They really seem bad around here this summer. I’m outside everyday after work and they’re here everyday. Anyone else experiencing Circle Flies this bad? Maybe it’s just me.🤔

Canadian wildfire smoke has arrived here in the Keweenaw. Fine ash is actually falling here & the smoke smell is like it’s actually burning in our back yards. Nasty!

Crazy to see some of the homes being built in the North woods. A lot of the areas are loosing there North woods charm. Was always neat to boat on the lakes and see all the old cabins,most have been replaced with huge homes.
