Upon my honorable discharge after serving 3 years in the US Army in 1986, I returned home to the Keweenaw Peninsula & began my education & sought my State Licensing at Michigan State University where I took the insurance course & passed the State exam for my Agents License.  My Dad had started the business in our family home on May 1st 1974. I have had desire to one day join him in the business that he grew from ground zero. After having experienced the military, I knew civilian life in the Keweenaw was where I wanted to be after my service. After attaining my license, I worked part-time for my Dad learning the ropes while I worked full time as a department manager for our local K-Mart. In 1989 I was able to join my Dad full time in the family business. In 2002, I was able to buy the business from my Dad & have been fortunate to have maintained it successfully for the past 24 years. So far I have 40 years of experience in the business & I am still learning.
