I can’t be sure but that’s a Ford from 65 or 66 most likely. The kids aren’t fighting, kinda odd. Gas is 32.9 sounds about right. Mom and Dad are both smiling…I dunno, what’s wrong with this picture?

There appears to be a charger plug for EV’s on the gas pump opposite the pump attendant. At least it looks like a large plug & not a typical pump nozzle.

I agree with the side window comment. I don’t don’t believe that window ever rolled down on any station wagon.

The back side window of the station wagon shouldn’t open where the boy is. Does the rear seat of the station wagon face the back of the car? Small suitcase doesn’t look tied down.

I think the most glaring thing wrong with a picture from 1966 would be the EV charger plug. There are a number of things in the picture one could say are not right. Such as unsecured luggage in the roof rack, no rear view mirrors on either driver or passenger doors, no rear view mirror on the windshield as well as the very rear side window that I…Read More

Had the Johnson version. Tough machine and it fit three of us on it but it was pretty tired and top speed was just over 15 mph. I’ll agree with the 60 pounds lighter claim. My dad had a 67 and I swear it had to go 600 lbs. It would pull his aluminum beaver trapping boat through the woods and across dry land, no problem.

My first snowmobile was a 1973 Suzuki XR440. fan cooled twin carb, motor was close to the handlebars & that fan blew the warm but albeit 2 stroke smell on you. Was never cold even on the most brutal cold days. Loved that sled, bought it with my own money at 16 years old in 1977 & put thousands of miles on it in the 4 years I owned it. Good times,…Read More

Looks like we’ll have the website on AutoPilot at times this week as I’ll be working/volunteering at the AirVenture Fly In, in Oshkosh, Wisconsin over the next few days. We live about 15 miles north of the show so it’s hard to escape from the planes overhead, traffic, and visitors from around the world.

Awesome photo! I doesn’t get more 70’s, one piece suits and sideburns. It’s pretty amazing to see the rider position on these sleds, compared to modern sleds. Wonder how many boots they melted on the pipes.

I have this poster in my shop/man cave. I also use to have the same jacket, but, the icing on the cake, I still have the TXI helmet worn in this photo shoot.
