My new rear bumper for the 2026 Kawasaki Ridge Platinum Ranch Edition. For some reason it didn’t come with one. Chose this heavy duty beast with LED lights in it. The bumper is a product of Extreme Metal Products-EMP. Thank you to Chad and his service department at M&M Powersports for their top notch service.

    • Nice setup, looks like it’s ready for winter. Could be another record breaker.

    • Funny thing Kelly and Mezz, we have been having “super El Nino” year pounded into our minds lately yet when you look at other weather outlets they are too predicting the “super El Nino” but their prediction effects are all over the place, some doom and gloom and some are very hopeful. As I’ve said before they have a hard enough time with 24 hour…Read More

      • You’re right, being pounded with the doom & gloom. Though I will say, after having been through the 2nd snowiest winter on record last year, I am not wanting a repeat performance. It is way too early to tell what this winter will bring despite the numerous model runs. One thing for certain is a very strong El Nino will be in play, it’s just a…Read More

        • Mezz, kinda selfish or me I do apologize, I couldn’t even imagine what it must be like residing there and I’m not going to lie but I don’t take that into consideration when I hope for a hell of a winter in the north woods as I am only thinking of the riding. I also plow snow here in my neck of the woods, been doing it for close to 30 years and…Read More

          • No need to apologize, I hope you have a hell of a winter. As you know, your hell of a winter and ours here in the Keweenaw are 2 different animals. I can’t move like I use to & it is a challenge to deal with shoveling, blowing & plowing twice a day. The plowing is the easiest part but as you know, time consuming. I plow for myself & a couple of…Read More

  • Proud Uncle here! My Nephew, Ben received his Pilot’s License this week. Congratulations young man, the sky’s the limit and welcome to AirVenture in Oshkosh!

    • Congratulations, he’s a brave young man. I don’t have the nerve. 😬 I don’t have a problem flying, but I’m not doing the flying. Kudos!

    • Congratulations to your nephew. At his age, I think my bicycle was still my main form of transportation.

  • Wow, that is some thick smoke! Don’t breath! But seriously, be careful. Jon, I don’t know about the Circle Flies. We have our share of fly varieties but I don’t think we have those.

    • 🤣🤣You must be a great guy then. Circle flies circle around a horse’s ass. It must just be a problem for me. 🤣🤣

    • Canadian wildfire smoke has arrived here in the Keweenaw. Fine ash is actually falling here & the smoke smell is like it’s actually burning in our back yards. Nasty!

  • I doubt anyone else does this but I find that if I put a couple of squirts of Klotz in the lawn tractor gas tank when I fill it, I get a whiff of winter every time I fire it up. It really helps me get motivated to cut the grass 🙂🙂🙂.

    • LOL!! Had some mixed gas with Klotz in it once and put it in my forklift could smell it for months after that LOL

    • I use Klotz in my weed wacker and leaf blower. Sometimes have to turn the exhaust towards me and inhale deeply a couple times. I’ve got a Klotz candle, but I can only burn it when my wife isn’t around.

      • I put it in my chainsaw but I only use that a couple of times a summer. A friend of mine also has the candle. His wife is not a fan.

Greetings All! New Memberships have been piling up as we head into a new week of Snow Trails USA. My primary concern has been to get everyone registered ASAP and I think we’ve accomplis;hed that. • Gary, so if I am understanding this correctly because I went to the “forum” section and found “2027 snowmobiles” and “hey you found us” I don’t see any specific forums (i.e. trail conditions, snowfall reports etc) and I just want to clarify if I am reading into this correctly. A member can create their own topic that people can post responses on…Read More

    • This seems like it will give us the best of both worlds. I can see this being used a lot for things that generate frequent comments and are checked frequently. I don’t know that it will be a factor for most subjects, but the photo posting process works differently from the regular general discussion (uses a URL link rather than an upload).…Read More

  • Hey everybody. Glad to see a new a new page out there. Many of you know me as Elf from JD but this page requires at least 4 letters for a username so I had to change it up. Attached is a picture of my wife and I in Island PARK this year.

    • Correct me if I am wrong but you were recently retired correct? how’s retired life treating you? living the dream or like most don’t know how they had the time to do things when you were working?

      • Correct, my wife and I both called it quits 1/2/26. I guess people would say we’re living the dream, lots of travel so far. A month in Island Park, a week in Roatan, Honduras, two weeks in the Smokies, and now we head to Vegas tomorrow. But after one more trip in mid-july we are mostly done for the year. Got a neck issue thats going to get fixed…Read More

    • Love this photo! Geez I miss riding in the mountains, just for the scenery if nothing else.

    • You could modify to elf1, or, elf! Or any other variation of your liking

  • I figured I’d really kick this page off with a few photos to bring everyone up to speed on my current restoration project, a 1980 Kawasaki Intruder.

After I bought this last fall, I got it running and actually rode it a little last winter but as these things often go, it had a LOT of issues – missing parts, broken parts, worn parts, and ass…Read More

    • I look forward to retirement and the time to do stuff like this. I have an entirely disassembled Sidewinder just waiting to be brought back to life, but I just don’t have the time yet. Looking forward to seeing your progress, Kelly , and anything else that anyone has brewing out there.

    • Kelly, as usual the master at his craft! chassis looks GREAT!!! as well as the hood work, really like the progression post, pretty neat!!

  • Greetings everyone! I promise that this will be longest post of mine that you’ll ever have to wade through.

Some of you may already know me but for those who don’t, my name is Kelly and I will be your host for this vintage sled page. I’m old enough to have ridden vintage sleds when they weren’t vintage but my interest in vintage sleds was rea…Read More
